The Victory Garden

Hi friends!  Anna here from The Victory Garden: Yarn and Curiosities-so very pleased to meet you all!  I am a made-by-my-own-two-hands obsessed girl who hails from the heat and cotton fields of central California, transplanted to the cool, mossy climate of Seattle.  I live in a teensy city apartment with one boyfriend, a lot of vintage Pyrex, and even more yarn.

I embarked on my blogging adventure as a way to market my fledgling craft business, but somewhere along the way blogging has turned into an inspirational haven of color, kitsch, friends, and a better understanding of myself and all of the things that really make me sing!

In developing new handmade products for my little shop, preparing for Winter craft shows, and hunting down perfect pieces of vintage Pyrex, I somehow find the time to stop and breathe for a moment: those are the times I get out my trusty camera and take colorful photographs to share with you all.

Between my blog and Etsy shop, you never know what you may find: a delicious recipe, inspirational photographs of my latest canning endeavor, vintage family photographs, snapshots and Polaroids of our latest road trip adventure, cozy and vibrant handknits, or Pyrex-inspired collections of kitschy, colorful, crocheted Granny Hoops.

Someday I will have a Victory Garden full of flowers, herbs, and
vegetables to eat; but for now I have created a Victory Garden of a
different sort, a blog full of colorful photos and a little shop full of hand knit and crocheted curiosities to brighten
your walls and warm your souls.

How does your garden grow?
xo

Top 10 Blog Post Ideas

As a blogger, you will get brain farts and not really know what to post sometimes. It happens. Let's give some topics so you can whiff that fart goodbye! 1.) Share more of your photography and offer tips to those who don't know how to take photographs. I'm personally a really picky picture taker, so I tend to throw out a few of my shots and when I'm bored, I grab the camera and take some photos of anything around me. The thing that sucks about me, is that I don't really know how to teach someone how to take pics, so share that for me please!!!! 2.) What I Wore. Hellooooooo!! Fashion is the way to go when you have no clue what to post about. If you don't normally get dressed to post, then this is a really fun activity for you and for everyone reading. Gather your outfit and go on a photo shoot. Grab a friend to take your pics for you and pose. Pose away, have fun and then share it!!! 3.) Food. It's the obvious when there is nothing else on your min...
