"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." ~Groucho Marx
What is your favorite book of all time? What are your kids' favorite books? What about your significant other? Have you ever read a book as a couple? Where do you like to read?
Reading has always been an important, even central part of my life. I consume books - and magazines, articles, even cereal boxes - as regularly, if not more regularly, than food. I spend most of my day at work reading and researching (see below - that is my actual inbox at work). I depended on my reading skills all through college and Law School.
And now, as a mom, reading has become an even more important part of my life because it is something powerful, wonderful, fun, and enriching I can share with my family.
But what I WANT is input! What do you read as a family? What is your favorite "guilty pleasure" book? When and how to you find time to read? What is your favorite magazine?

The Family That Reads is a place for me (and you!) to explore reading - for pleasure, for interest, for enrichment both for myself and my family. Looking for a good Sex Ed book for your kids? I've got recommendations. Bedtime stories and reading routines? They're here. An interesting magazing article on parenting, gardening, law, or some other random controversey? Yep, we've got that, too.

I read a little of everything, from fiction, kids books, teen books, etc etc.
Love the bath set up as well!
I've been reading to my daughter since her very first night home from the hospital. Either it worked or love of books is genetic because she loves to read!
I get time to read right before bed at night and at lunchtime at work. I love my Kindle so much! Great for reading a bunch of books at different times, and so easy to carry around. I've read standing in line at the bank, in the car when my daughter falls asleep, and waiting at the dr office.
I'll have to check out your new blog!
I could read 24/7. I actually found myself thinking about my current read in the middle of dinner with some of my very favorite and hilarious girlfriends tonight! Sad, isn't it?
I love romance! Can't help it! My grandmother got me started reading those in 9th grade! Far too early. What was she thinking??! But, I do still love them and as long as they aren't ridiculously corny, I can thouroughly enjoy them as a quick read. Currently, I'm reading the Outlander series by Dianna Gabaldon. Love those! And I'm thinking about picking up the...is it the Danger Games? Something like that. I'm hearing an awful lot about those. My Nook is never far from my side, but certain books I must have in print. Ya know what I mean? It's an emotional thing!
