Hey y'all! I'm Tara and you can find me writing at A Serendipitous Life. My blog is kind of anti-theme...I just write about life in general, which in my world means everything from book reviews to recipes to fun going out outfits to reminiscing about my past trials and errors (and that latter bit usually leads to me doling out advice, as well).
I was born and raised in Ellington, Connecticut and got the heck out of there as soon as I could. I went to college in Virginia, lived in Orlando and worked at Disney, ended up back in Connecticut for a short period of time and eventually made my way to beautiful Greenville, South Carolina...a place I've come to call my true home.
Of course, you don't live in so many places without picking up some great stories along the way, but my greatest story is probably how I ended up with my husband. Because despite doing my best to get away from my home town, I ended up marrying someone who lived there nearly as long as I did (my family moved to Ellington when I was about 2; his moved there when he was about 8).
Seriously. We spent years and years trying to avoid each other, only to end up falling together at 28 (him) and 25 (me). Some things are just meant to be. And really, who else would run around Alamo Square in San Francisco blasting the theme from Full House with me?
Also, I'm not sure there were ever two people more prone to collecting unnecessary animals. We have four cats and two dogs and I can't lie, we're constantly resisting the urge to adopt more. I mean really, isn't this a sight for sore eyes?
(Okay, maybe it's a sight that causes sore eyes...depends on how much you like kitties and kitty butts.)
Anyway, that's me in a nutshell but only about 10% of what actually makes its way into my blog, so I hope you'll stop by for a visit and maybe stay a while!
