Hello there! Allow me to introduce myself. First things first, my name rhymes with lasagna. I work a 9 to 5 office job. I have two kids of the boy variety and a husband (also of the boy variety). We have a dog (once again of the boy variety). Being the supreme lone female in my house, rules! My man and boys pamper me, not literally. But I'd like to think I provide a great mother and wife service to them in the form of cooking and fixing the computer.
I have a lot to say about anything and everything. Initially my blog was so I could have a separate place to rant and over share so my Facebook friends wouldn't get tired of all my posting. Turns out, I still post as much as I used to. Also, on Facebook, I don't share my drawing interpretations of my life events. Blog posts are better for that.
I would have to say my blog is a humor/life blog. I try to share stories and put humor into it. That's not to say I won't also post some humbling serious posts now and then. For the most part, though, my blog posts will be like a chapter of my mind on that day. Sometimes my daily mind is a scary, scary place.
Not all my blog posts will have drawings, though. Sometimes I will use real life photos I have taken to tell my story. I'll also sometimes use photos and Photoshop some silliness into them. I do try include drawings when I feel like it and it will make my story funnier. For example.....
My dog is a border collie and his name is Steeler. My husband is a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. We got him from a working ranch and his doggie daddy was a sheep herder (shepherd?). Sometimes he will try to herd my boys because, obviously, they deserve it.
I get ideas to post by retelling something that happened to me. But then, other times, ideas will just come into my head while I am shopping, working, and even driving. I try to put down my thoughts as they come to me by typing into my Notes app on my phone. When I'm driving it gets difficult because I have to remember what I am thinking until I am at a stop light or sign. I need to start using a voice recorder on my phone. I don't understand my ramblings. Check it out:
I named my blog "Where Have all the Hobos Gone" because it was catchy and I must admit I have always been fascinated by hobos. My next dog will be named Hobo even if it is a female. Or maybe Hoba - the feminine form.
