I'm a mother of one little boy who is currently six years old. He was my little birthday surprise so to speak (my birthday is a month after his). I tell ya, motherhood has been quite an adventure, but I love every minute of it.
I'm also married to the man I've been with since high school :) I think it's been twelve years in all (we've lost track). And we're still very much in love!
I started blogging as a way to connect with other parents. I was home alone a lot (still am some of the time but it's a nice thing now :P ) and I wanted people to talk to. Motherhood was kinda scary and new and there were things I didn't know that I needed to know. So I started writing about being a new mom, as well as being a geek, and I connected with a lot of people, including my friend Amy who has helped me a lot with many things, including parenting advice and how to do this or that.
I also used my blog as a source of income because I wasn't able to get a job back then. I fell out of that phase very quickly and went back to just blogging about myself, my hobbies and family stuff.
Since then I've gotten a doll (Kloey, my BJD) who is my little camera victim when my son is unwilling to be goofy for the lens (plus she's just so frickin' awesome to have around!), had breakthrough's with getting my son's medical condition straightened out and made a lot of new friends that I love to share interests with. :)
I'm not the best writer in the world but I love to share my opinions with others. But I'm sure you'll like me if you get to know me 'cause I'm super awesome :D
