When I started Wild Magnolia, it was for a very simple reason: I needed an easy way to communicate with my family in Louisiana after I moved to Nashville, Tennessee. At the time, many of my family members were without Facebook, so I started a blog that they could easily access to keep up with the goings on of my everyday life. Eventually, it turned into a space where I document my adventures and discoveries; my triumphs and trials; my loves and losses. I am incredibly restless so my blog is a direct representation of my chaotic life.
Since I began this blog, I have traveled from coast to coast. I have fallen in and out of love, and lost and found countless friends. I have learned so much about fashion and myself and the kindness of sweet friends around this world whom I've never even met. I have turned my life upside down time and time again just trying to figure out what I am supposed to do with the incredible blessing that is my life. Most of the time, it is an unconventional, circus but it is mine and it is truly a reflection of my spirit.
When you read this blog, you quickly realize that I am a pretty straight-forward person. If I am sad, I say it. If I am full of joy and gratitude, I say that too. In August of 2010, I returned to my home state of Louisiana and started work for a sports management company. I chronicled every bit of the emotional roller coaster right here. My work tends to consume my life yet I am teaching myself to prioritize and to make time for the things and people that truly make my world beautiful. I am involved with more non-profit organizations than I know what to do with, but each has a piece of my heart and I would not have it any other way.
Each day is a new adventure filled with ups and downs, laughter, tears and unimaginable surprises. I rarely have any idea what I'm doing, but I am learning to find beauty in the unknown and I am forging my own path. All in all, I am a curious, restless, incredibly social 20-something Southern Belle and this space is simply where I tell my story and a few from those who have touched my life...
