Hey guys! I'm excited for the chance to tell you a little about myself!
My name is Jamie. I'm 22. I'm majoring in Special Education.
I've been in college or tech school for the last four years and am only considered to be
a sophmore because I'm awesome and apparently taking my sweet time in college!
I work as a Site Director for a non-profit after-school program where I watch
around 40 kids with the help of my staff. I love, love, love my job.
On May 30th, 2009 I married my best friend, Kent.
He is the ying to my yang.
We want to have kids but would like to wait about four or five years
when we hopefully won't be broke college kids. However, we're fine
with the whatever timing God has for us, whether that be
tomorrow or ten years from now. We trust in His plan for us.
We live in a little apartment in the college town of Norman, Oklahoma
with our two cats that we rescued, Elliot (the big one) and Anita (the little one).
growing where your planted

I like to write about funny things that happen in my life like
I also like to write about what inspires me, to reflect on my experiences,
and to share fun ways to spend time with those you love,
like cookie chess for instance.
My favorite things: elephants, the color red, coffee, more coffee,
memorizing rap songs, reading, crafting, thrifting, cooking, and blogging!

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are

THE END OF THAT QUOTE (I guess I didn't copy/paste the HTML quite right):
"...We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Also, I forgot to color my links but they're on my blog title and the three funny things I listed! :)

Congrats on being featured, love your post and am looking forward to reading your blog.
Your cats are great, what's even better is that you rescued both of them.
Enjoy the first day of Spring!
