Hey guys! I'm Riley from Fickface!
I'm a 20 year old Communication student from New Hampshire, but I'm currently living and studying in the great city of Boston. I'm VERY involved on my campus and because of that you can almost always find me with a coffee in one hand and my iPod with the calendar app open in the other. Apart from six classes, I DJ at my college's radio station, play on the women's lacrosse team, work in the Career Services and the Residential Life offices, and attend as many of my college's home games (Go Lasers!) all while keeping my GPA over 3.5. Sleep tends to be optional while I'm at school, haha.
I just recently returned from a semester abroad in London and did some European adventuring while I was over there. I've become addicted to traveling, and as soon as I finish my degree, I hope to travel some more! Having such a crazy life that's moving and changing all the time makes it a bit difficult to hold down a serious relationship, but dating isn't really on my list of priorities at the moment - quite frankly, I don't have time for it! So I'm a free, single girl at the moment just faking my way into adulthood (or as I like to call it, being a "big girl").
As much as it sucks to be busy all the time, I've made some incredible life-long friends along the way that I couldn't be happier about! I've been burned a lot in the past, so I feel blessed to have a solid group of girls I can always depend on when times get rough. Casey, Noble, Sarah, and "the Lax Girls" are the main players in my life at the moment and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Because my life is so crazy all the time, I try not to take anything too seriously. My favorite thing ever is to be silly, joke around, and laugh! I'm usually always the one cracking a joke any time the opportunity presents itself. That's what she said jokes? Yup, you'll always hear them coming out of my mouth... that's what she said. But joking aside, life's way too short to take it seriously, so I always want to be known as the girl who's always smiling!
I've been blogging for a LONG time - since age 11! I've hopped around from blog to blog to LiveJournal to blog, but for most of my life I've been recording it online. I'm finding my current blog to be a nice home for me and have been pretty committed to it for the past year or so. I'm currently attempting a different type of 365 project over at Fickface - Instead of just a photo a day, I'll be writing a blog post a day for all of 2011! I love making new friends, so feel free to stop by and say hello! :)
