Thirsty Thursday {Chocolate Orange: Stick Martini}

happy thirsty thursday friends. are you drinking that coffee right up. mmmmm! i need a few. this week has been very productive. we are launching a new magazine that we are incredibly excited about. it's really going to be awesome! we want to welcome our newest sponsors. head over and meet their lovely faces. the daily look and photo of the day have been a very lovely feature but we are working on more informative features for these. each week we will post your wonderful selves in a full post and that way you can share more of your outfits. we are keeping these pics up on the sidebars linking to these features. it's just going to be easier and more detailed. you'll see.

Chocolate Orange-Stick Martini

Ingredients:

Orange-flavored vodka
Chocolate-flavored liqueur
Milk chocolate chips
Ice
Martini Shaker
Martini Glass
Shot glass
  • Melt a small handful of chocolate chips (on a plate) in the microwave (about 45 seconds) Stir until melted.
  • Dip rim of martini glass in chocolate and place in freezer.
  • Pour vodka in 2/3 of shot glass & pour Chocolate liqueur in remaining space of shot glass.
  • Pour alcohol into the martini shaker with crushed ice. SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE! 
  • Get martini glass from freezer and strain alcohol into glass.  
  • ENJOY!!

that drink looks delish! Wish I had a drink to share. However, I do get to have a date w/the hubby tonight...so that will be my "drink of choice"!! I'm going to try and convince him to take me shopping...keep your fingers crossed!
Orange chocolate martini sounds so good! But I'm going to save my drink for tomorrow - going to my friend's empty flat party ;) Tonight, I'll have mac'n'cheese instead, my all-time-favorite comfort food! Happy Thursday folks :)

That martini sounds wonderful! I wonder if making that drink a cream-based drink would make the chocolate blend better? I guess I've never had chocolate with straight alcohol before.
