There seems to be lots of different opinions about how often you should post! And in our opinion, you should post as often as you'd like! No really. Some people are attracted to more than one post in a day. On the other hand, it's a little too much for some readers. So when you are posting what you love to post, post as often as you'd like. You'll know when it's too much or too little the more you blog.
I personally would recommend to post daily. Your readers want fresh posts everyday and I think it's important in growth.
Now if you are an irregular blogger and post few in one week, like maybe every other day or 3 times a week, readers may get the impression that you are not a frequent blogger and won't bother checking in with you as much. It's difficult to say because in all reality you want your readers to be happy yet you are blogging for you.
I've seen blogs who post 3 or more posts in one day and to me, that's overwhelming. But for some, it's okay because they love that blog and what they are posting about. I like to see a new post each day. Yes bloggy breaks are necessary and should be implemented but for the most part, update your blog. A weekend break is nice and my tip for this is:
When you post your Friday Post, include a lot of things for your readers to enjoy. Such as, several links to fun things you like, a new blog you've discovered, fun photos and/or take them to an older post that you don't think they've read.
Whether you decide to post daily (recommended), a few times a week or more than one post in a day, Learn what is Best for you and what you like. Get it down packed and have your scheduled posts ready to go. If you feel like it's too much, cut back and if you feel like it isn't enough, post more! Good luck with whatever your choice is and stick to your routine.
Please share how often you post and what works best for you! We'd love to hear.

I like blogs that post daily or close to, although I know that life dictates how often we find time to be on the computer :)
I'd love to say I post every day but unfortunately I don't have time and I am very picky about the quality of my posts, I just can't bare to just dash out crappy posts "just because" so I'd rather do 3-4 posts/week than 6 half-hearted ones. I know I'd get more readers if I did more but I just don't have time...

I'm doing that as we speak, err, type ;)

When inspiration fails me, I usually post a famous quote or a music video. Something...every day...
Like on Wed as I just started a Wordless Wed Linky Party so I'd definitely post then :)
I'd usually rest for the weekend to spend more time with family..

I post every other day. When I attempted posting daily, my followership got stuck but when I did it on an every other day basis, I got more followers. They must've gotten overwhelmed? I also found that I was better able to write a post of good quality when I don't do it everyday. But yeah, whatever works for the blogger, then s/he should stick to it. Some of my fave blogs post daily and yet I still can't seem to get enough of them! :-)
I find this works best for me, because it gives me a chance to craft quality posts about my recipes and experience, instead of churning out "just okay" posts every day.
With a busy career outside blogging I find this the easiest way to fulfil my promise to myself to create quality content.
Most of the blogs I love and respect most do not post every day. Some of them only post 1x/week, but I know that every time they do, their posts will be really interesting, beautiful, informative, etc.
So, I suppose my opinion is that if traffic is your #1 priority, posting every day is probably a good idea. But if quality and relationship-building is your #1, take time to make each post your best effort.
I am hoping to gain more readers as time passes by. Hope you can stop by mine and post a shoutout! :-)

Secondly, I'm an irregular blogger. But I'm like that because I suffer from depression and even though I love writing, I'm not always in the mood to write. It's something I'm trying to motivate myself to do (among other things).
But I really do appreciate this post, it's got some useful tips and thanks for creating this space!
