Hello lovlies! My name is Mandy, and my blog is called A Sorta Fairytale. I have been blogging for several years now, but it's only been in the last year or so that I have really become involved in the blogosphere. I have discovered what an amazing, inspirational place it is. I have met so many wonderful friends, and hope to meet many more!
I'm passionate about life, God, music, movies, salty snacks, politics, blogging, family, photography, travel, pretty things, yummy smells, and of course my Husband and baby boy!
I got married to my husband in July, 2007. He was finishing college at the time and I was working full time. We did all of the newlywed things: went on vacations, shopped a lot, went on lots of dates, stayed up late. It was such an awesome time for us.
It was shortly after we got married that I started my Photography Business. I am absolutely in love with Photography. I am very passionate about preserving memories. It is amazing to be able to look back and be reminded of special occasions, and important milestones.
In May of 2009, we got the best news in the world!! We found out we were pregnant with a little boy! I had a pretty rough pregnancy. I was extremely sick for the first 18 weeks. I had to quit my full time job and put Photography on hold. But, it was all so worth it!!
January 26, 2010 our amazing little boy was born. We named him Bennett Roy. (Roy is after his Grandfather). You can read my birth story HERE, if you'd like. It didn't go as planned, but what birth ever goes the way you expect? :) It was the most incredible day of our lives!
All of my loves! This was pretty typical when Bennett was a newborn. Hubby on the couch playing Xbox, while baby is fast asleep in his lap. LOL.
After our baby was born, I decided to be a stay-at-home-mom. I feel so lucky and fortunate to have the opportunity to be at home with my son. I'm also very blessed that my photography business is thriving, yet I'm able to work on my own schedule. I'm very thankful to God for everything in my life!
As of now, my Husband and I have a very happy, adventurous, sometimes whiny, adorable 14 month old to keep us on our toes.
So that is a peek into my life! I will leave you with my favorite quote!
"Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity."
