Hello All! I am the chaotic and sometimes crazy author of It's in the Adventure. This blog is about my life which often consists of two people, their dog and everything they own, traveling in a 4,178 pound SUV that is packed to capacity. Unpacking and packing in an effort to continue chasing a dream, a passion, that brought us together... Hockey.
I am the girl who loves to smile during the most difficult times and finds humor in situations I probably shouldn't. I have far to much energy for routine and often bounce out of my seat during our travels screaming at the top of my lungs to the same song I heard on the radio 10 minutes earlier. Stinking play-lists!! I met my husband while he was playing Junior Hockey in my hometown {10 years ago} and weirdly enough attended the same college as him... maybe it was fate. I graduated with a B.S. in Marketing and had every intention of becoming a career women with a family and white picket fence. However, I traded that all in for a seasonal vacation home complete with 20 grown men who I didn't have to give birth too... Perfect... Freelance jobs and photography (not bad)! Since I have often been the only wife on his teams I took on the role of mother for many of the guys, cooking dinners, holiday celebrations... Its the life I live and I love every minute of it... even the struggles... because it has taught me so much about myself.
I am a devoted and loving wife, mother to a spastic silky terrier, sister, auntie, friend, and daughter. I miss my family and friends terribly when we are gone... my nieces and nephews (9 total) are my world... so the stresses and homesickness is a daily struggle for me... but I have the other girls, who become your family, to help me through it. I have not been back home for more than 3 months in the last 4.5 years so every visit is refreshing.
I am always looking for a new adventure that reminds me what life is all about and I strive to make myself a better person everyday. I live my life in the moment, see the simple things in a different aspect and love hearing the stories of others. I have always believed that our experiences and choices mold us into the individuals we want to be... there is no outcome... just a stop sign giving you different directions to travel in.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me, I hope you enjoy the stories of our life at It's in the Adventure and I look forward to getting to know everyone!
P.S. My blogs are backdated since I am fairly new to blogging and am working to catch up with my life.
Thanks for sharing! You're all the best! No. really. You are!
Enjoy the day-go show some L-O-V-E
