Hey doll faces! We're happy you are here sharing your adventures. Thanks to all of you! We have another great feature for you today.
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out the blog.
I was raised in many different parts of the US and therefore learned at an early age that there is life outside that comfy bubble that most people are afraid to break free from. I work full-time in the non-profit industry by day and as blogger by night. I love to travel and have been to all across the globe from London, Spain, Germany to NYC and back! This exposure has broadened my horizons and opened my eyes to new experiences in life thus allowing me to become a better writer with a heightened sense of creative thinking and a unique writing style.
I love romantic movies, classical music and enjoyed snuggling up with a hot cup of coco and just reading a good book. I am a nature lover and a shopaholic. I have a soft spot for animals and try to find beauty in the simple things in life.
FTLOB Introduces: City Girl Chronicles
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out the blog.
I’m so grateful to all of you for that! This blog is a reflection of me, my personal thoughts on the life, religion, food, fashion and photography and just comments on random everyday life in general. You’ll notice that my writing tends to focus on topics that spark my interest – topics that will hopefully be interesting to my readers as well!
I go by the name citygirlchic mainly because I named my blog City Girl Chronicles and it just seemed to fit. My blog started off as a very small idea. I knew I wanted to start some sort of blog but I really only had a general idea of the direction I wanted to take and I had a few thoughts of a concept floating around in my head but that was it! I knew I wanted to write and I had played around with Open Diary about 8 or 9 years ago and I loved it! I had a lot of readership with OD but I really wasn’t serious about updating on a regular basis and eventually life got in the way and I stopped writing for a long time.

Throughout my life I have always loved to write and I have a very creative spirit. Recently I was looking for a way to creatively express myself and let my voice be heard so I got the idea to starting a blog and a little bit of research I decided to go for it. So there it was; the planting of a seed that I had no idea would blossom into this big colorful flower that I’m now so proud of!
I started off with an online newspaper theme and had a few other girls writing alongside me and that was working great for a while. Eventually I started to feel that working with others wasn’t right for me or for the current vision I had for my blog so I decided to make some drastic changed and I went solo. Flash-forward to a few months later and I love the look and feel of my new blog! I’m still learning a few things but hope that with time I’ll have it all figured it!
My blog is all about the things that inspire my life and me. I love fashion and read tons of books so you’ll often times find posts about books or trends that inspire me, I’m also a self-taught chef and so I post recipes and pictures of meals that I have created and since I’m a Christian, I definitely write about my love for Jesus and of course you’ll get a dose of my opinions and thoughts thrown in there with a combo of other gibberish!
As for me personally, I am your average 29-year-old gal who considers herself an outspoken Fashionista who openly expresses her love for Jesus and has a sweet tooth for all things chocolate! I’ve been happily married for going on 5 years and have a super cute pup named Coco, whom I named after the infamous Coco Chanel.
