Hi. My name is Alexia and I'm from South Africa, where we spell colour with an 'ou' and humour with an 'ou.' I am the proud creator of The Illustrated Edge blog, which is basically the illustrated side of fashion - which inspires me most as well as the outfits I wear and some of the adventures I get up to. I live in a town where everyone knows you and you know everyone - that's how small it is. I started my blog purely out of boredom and out of a lack of hobbies, but I started doing more research on style and fashion and fell in love with what I was looking at. Style and fashion have such broad speculations that you could put together any outfit and someone in some part of the world would call it fashion and that's the beauty of it.
After I graduate from high school, I am going to pursue my goal of working in the fashion industry whether it's fashion buying, being an editor of a magazine or being a stylist. Unfortunately the only down side to working in fashion is the fact that you have to know how to make an outfit from scratch. Our school doesn't teach sewing and I have never had the interest of learning how. Obviously, I'm going to have to learn.
At The Illustrated Edge, I post about a lot of different things. I guess you'll have to come and check it out to know for sure :) But, you should know that I am obsessed with fashion, backstage pictures of fashion shows, etc so you WILL be seeing that way more than once.
